Crime Victims Legal Network (CVLN) Webinar held on May 2, 2023


The Crime Victims Legal Network is a partnership of organizations working to connect victims of crime with civil legal information and assistance through their online resource, NY Crime Victims Legal Help (cvln.org). Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) grant dollars supported the creation of the CVLN, and the continued and long-term success of the CVLN is an important OVS priority.


The CVLN’s website has many resources and self-help tools that a victim can navigate and use independently. Recognizing that victims of crime may only be able to progress so far in addressing their civil legal needs on their own, the CVLN relies on its partners to take client referrals. Partnerships with the CVLN by providers is key to providing the full scope of legal services to victims of crime. All attorneys providing services to victims of crime through an OVS 2022 award are required to be referral partners to the CVLN.
