I am using the Anycubic Mega S printer with stock hotend and print bed, so if I can do get successful prints you should too! The biggest issue I battled for a few days was a bad nozzle. Replace your nozzle if you haven't in a while.
I am now getting similar print quality to PLA prints, so I think that is a well calibrated system.
