An important part of the annual five-day trumpet festival in Guča is the food. Little piglets and even entire cows are roasted over open fires and swilled down with local beer.
Over half a million visitors descend annually onto this small town near Čačak, a four-hour bus-drive south west of Belgrade. The Brass Band Festival in Guča is definitely one of the quirkiest music festivals in Europe. The 51st Guča brass band festival will be held from 10 - 14 August, 2011.
