How to do slow flight during my recent private pilot flight review. In this cockpit view flying video I demonstrate how to do slow flight with a full flaps configuration in a Piper Cherokee 140. Slow flight is one of the most useful flight maneuvers while flying single engine aircraft. This technique allows me to understand the flight envelope of the aircraft at low speeds, which is very helpful when trying to configure an aircraft for short field spot landings.
This Pilot Vlog is a cockpit view in which you can see me reduce the aircraft’s speed, then proceed to set flaps, and slow the aircraft down until the stall warning light comes on. I then proceed to fly the aircraft through a 90 degree turn to the right at no more than 10 degrees bank. This was one of several slow flight maneuvers that I had to execute during my recent private pilot flight review.
Slow flight differs for each aircraft and this slow flight maneuver was executed in a Piper Cherokee 140 single engine aircraft. This particular aircraft is the same aircraft in which I learned how to fly.
I will be uploading more Pilot Vlog flying videos from my 2020 private flight review. Be sure to subscribe to my channel to get the latest updates! I hope you enjoyed this flying video!
