Splitboards are awesome for any snowboarder that wants to get into backcountry touring. Splitboards come apart in two halves and can be used similar to skis to travel uphill. Once at the top of a mountain you can put the splitboard back together and ride down just like a normal snowboard.
The setup I used in this video is a Jones Frontier board with Jones Nomad skins, and Spark R&D bindings with Spark pucks. You can get more info on theses items at the links below.
