Ingredients
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
1 chopped green chili
1.5 cups fresh matar/green peas
3 medium-sized potatoes, chopped into medium-sized pieces
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp haldi/turmeric powder
3/4 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp dhania/coriander powder
1 tsp kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves
2 tsp chopped hara dhania/cilantro
1 tsp amchur/mango powder
Method
1. Heat oil on medium heat, add the jeera and chopped green chili and let the jeera crackle.
2. Add the peas and chopped potatoes and mix well. Reduce heat to low and put in the salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and coriander powder.
3. Mix well and cover with a lid. Cook for 5 minutes and stir a few times in between.
4. Add the kasuri methi and hara dhania and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook until the potatoes & peas soften. Keep checking at regular intervals. This took 15 minutes for us.
5. Add the amchur and stir mix and cook for a minute more.
6. Remove to a serving dish and serve with roti.
