To find three equivalent fraction for 1/6, we can multiple 1/6 by the equivalent of 1/1. For example:
1/6 x 1/1 = 1/6
since 1/1 = 1 and multiplying by 1 does not change the value.
If we multiply:
1/6 x 2/2 = 2/12
