Nitin Pachisia, founding partner at @Unshackled Ventures, a VC fund for immigrant founders and entrepreneurs joined Open Avenues at NY Tech Week to discuss strategies for immigrants to overcome challenges and fundraise successfully in the U.S.
An immigrant from India, Nitin successfully kickstarted and grew multiple businesses in the U.S.—so he knows a thing or two about how to build a company with a unique visa situation.
Prior to Unshackled Ventures, Nitin ran finance and strategy for ed-tech startup Kno (acquired by Intel in 2013) that raised over $90M of funding from top VCs including a16z, First Round Capital and Floodgate. His earlier days at Deloitte saw him empowering tech startups, guiding them through growth, exits, and strategic initiatives.
Nitin understands the burdens and financial constraints immigrants face, and Unshackled Ventures was created to take those off the table altogether. It’s the entity he wished he had when he started his tech career, and its singular mission is to be the best launchpad for American Immigrants.
