In this edition of DX 101, we take a look at AM DX Tests. We start with a quick look at the history of DX tests, how they are arranged and how to listen for them. Then we dive into what you can expect to hear during a DX Test. We also cover the Courtesy Program Committee, the group of DXers that assist in getting DX tests scheduled with the radio stations.
You can learn more about DX Tests at the official DX Test site of the Courtesy Program Committee: [ Ссылка ]
DX Tests can be fantastic opportunities for DXers around the world to tune in stations that they normally might not have had a chance to hear. They also allow stations to make adjustments to their equipment for peak performance while being able to get real-world feedback on the reach of their signal.
For more information on upcoming tests, there are a handful of resources available:
- International Radio Club of America (IRCA): ircaonline.org (Membership required)
- National Radio Club (NRC): nationalradioclub.org (Membership required)
We will also be posting DX Test announcements on our platforms:
- Twitter.com/dxcentral
- We will also often livestream during DX Tests to aid DXers in confirming reception of test elements
In addition, there are several Facebook groups devoted to AM/MW DX where you can often find DX Test announcements posted. To find them, just search "AM DX" and/or "MW DX" in the Facebook search bar.
