I went on a solo cruise for the first time ever! It was to celebrate my 29th birthday. I went to Mahogany Bay, Roatan, and Cozumel Mexico. Overall great time on the Carnival Paradise. This is the end of January 2024. The weather was pretty good overall despite the rounds of rain.

Carnival Paradise is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. It is part of Carnival's Fantasy-class ships and entered service in 1998.The Carnival Paradise had a two-week drydock in the Bahamas in Fall 2023.

During the scheduled drydock, the Carnival Cruise Line vessel underwent regular maintenance, in addition to class work and updates to its public areas and cabins.

According to the company’s brand ambassador John Heald, the Fantasy-class ship saw upgrades to its adults-only Serenity Deck, which included the addition of a new central hot tub.

The Carnival Paradise also received new casino features, as well as ADA additions to many of its public areas.

Carpets, tiling and windows were also replaced during the shipyard stay, Heald said, making the 1998-built ship “look resplendent.”

It has a passenger capacity of around 2,052 passengers and offers a variety of amenities and entertainment options, including dining venues, bars, a spa, water park, and live performances. The ship provides a fun and lively atmosphere, typical of Carnival Cruise Line's offerings.

Mahogany Bay is a port located on the island of Roatán in Honduras. It serves as a popular cruise ship destination, featuring a purpose-built cruise center with various amenities. Cozumel also boasts beautiful beaches, historical sites like the San Gervasio Mayan ruins, and a vibrant town with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Cruise passengers often visit attractions like Chankanaab National Park, where they can explore botanical gardens, observe marine life, and enjoy various water activities.
