Mahadayi Issue: RAJ BHAVAN GHERAO; Vatal Nagraj & Pro-Kannada Activists Were Arrested

Bangalore: Kannada Vakoota led by its president Vatal Nagraj today held a massive Raj Bhavan Muttige in front of the Raj Bhavan demanding immediate intervention of the Prime Minister in to the Mahadayi issue and find an amicable solution at the earliest. The heads of pro-Kannada organizations Sa.Ra Govind, Shivaramegowda, Praveen Kumar Shetty, Manjunath Dev and H.V Girish Gowda were present on the occasion.

Vatal Nagraj slammed the State Government for its failure to take up and find a solution to the Mahadayi-Kalasa issue. Vatal said, the political parties, be it Congress or JD(S) or BJP, all are busy campaigning for elections and none is showing interest in resolving the very issues which have caused suffering to the people of state.

Vatal Nagraj and a huge count of pro-Kannada activists were detained by the police and released later.
