Anakin tells Master Windu that the Chancellor is the Sith Lord. And Master Windu creates a team to go and arrest the Chancellor.
What if Mace Windu took different jedi to fight the dark Lord of the Sith? What if different Jedi were available? Who would you take if you had the choice? All that coming right up.
Welcome to Star Wars Grand Moff I am the Grand Moff, and today we are talking about the best team within the current Jedi who could take down the Dark Lord of the Sith, Palatine. I want to take a moment to talk about Windu’s choices. We need to remember a few things Windu and the Jedi were arrogant, for them 4 masters was over kill for fight against one Sith. Second, a lot of the Jedi we are going to talk about were off world at the time, so Mace didn’t have much of a choice. With that out of the way let’s begin.
Out of the four masters to confront Palatine, only one would remain on my all-star team and obviously that’s Mace Windu the only one of the original four to put up a fight and ultimately beat Sidious. Now I know there are many theories that Sidious lost on purpose to sway Anakin but even if you low ball Windu he put up a good fight at least. There are many videos online that deep dive this fight for more info go see one of them. But I think we can all agree Master Windu is a good choice.
Second, I think it goes without saying that Master Yoda if not for him being on Kasskya at the time would have been the only other must pick apart from Windu. Yoda almost beats Sidious and Sidious is actively scared of Yoda trying to run from their fight. Something we never see him do again against a Jedi. You could argue that Sidious was weak after his fight with Windu but still there is no denying the respect and caution Sidious has for Yoda. And I can’t honestly think of a list that would win without Mace and Yoda.
There are two jedi I want to address that a lot of people would pick for this list and I would not. Firstly Anakin. Anakin is one of the best warriors in the Jedi order at the time, but he is corrupted and could turn on the team at any point. And for that reason, he is not on my team.
Next, Obi-wan his perfect use of Sasui the 3rd form of lightsabre combat would be great at blocking Sidious’ lightsabre attacks. Completely agree. However, Obi-wan is so weak to force attacks, Dooku uses this against him many times. And Sidious saw this and would know of this and could easily get him out of the game with one good push.
With them out of the way. There are only 2 jedi I feel could have any chance of helping at all.
Plo koon would be my third choice. Regarded as an excellent sword master and warrior Plo Koon could at least last longer than his other peers. I am not saying by any stretch Plo could contend with Sidious alone but with Yoda and Mice by his side, I think he could hold his own.
And finally, Shaki, she has many deaths within Star Wars but if she was on Coruscant I don’t know why Windu did not pick her. She is said to have been in charge of the temple while these events happen, a perfect job for her as she is a great overseer. But could have been a valuable asset to Windu’s old team. She is a true lightsabre master and my fourth pick for my Dark lord fighting team.
