The Beacons Way is a 100 mile linear walk that runs the length of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. The walk includes 16 summits including Pen y Fan, Fan y Big and Fan Brycheiniog. It passes through some wild and remote countryside with some tough terrain - it's definitely one of the more challenging hikes I've completed. It took me 6 days to complete the hike, but I would recommend to maybe do it in the eight stages over maybe 8 to 10 days. It's a beautiful walk, and it's one to take your time and enjoy - the 6 days I walked it in felt a little rushed, if I was to do it again I would do it in 8 days.
If you are interested in any of the gear that I have used on this hike, I have made a video of all the kit I've taken and links are available in the description on that video.
Also, below I have added two links to the route and a link to the guide book I read before setting off. The Ordnance Survey page contains a link to the entire Beacons Way walk - I used this route on my OS Maps App on my phone for the hike.
I hope you've enjoyed watching my journey,
Thanks for stopping by,
Ryan.
