The circumstances that created Steven Earnest could have easily destroyed him. The standout lyricists rough childhood would have ruined the average person but he turned it into the energy needed to express himself profoundly on the mic.

His hometown of Dayton, Ohio has a history that is rich in funk music and produced greats such as Roger Troutman and Zapp, Slave, and The Ohio Players. These artists were very influential in what created the West Coast sound. Being from the Midwest Steven Earnest has blended the sounds of the West, East, and South to create his own style. He believes that the Midwest is up next and he is just the artist to connect the dots and lead the charge.
