Kamala Beach is a relaxed, sandy bay beach set amidst wooded hills next to the town of Kamala.

Kamala Beach draws a mix of older European vacationers and young, hip visitors to cool seafront cafes and bistros. A balanced mix of locals, expats and tourists makes Kamala a pleasant destination compared to maybe Patong or Kata Beach. Dining options range from Thai and Indian curries to German breads and cakes. Upscale beach resorts house stylish cocktail bars, while inland pubs get lively after dark.

Kamala might be best known as the home of Phuket FantaSea and now one of Phuket’s latest nighttime entertainments Carnival Magic which holds 9 Guinness World Records.

Carnival Magic, the Magical Kingdom of Lights, a new nighttime theme park featuring record breaking attractions not found anywhere else. Covering over 40 acres, the new theme park is touted as the new Dream Destination in Asia and cost over USD$190 million to build. Opened 20 September 2022.

As well as for one of Ibiza’s most iconic venues, Café Del Mar which now has opened a beach club in Kamala, Phuket.
