1. Hello, I am a blood surge lover like you. I am able to push pit 117 in season 4 and complete AoZ tier 9 in season 2. Blood surge just got a massive buff in season 5, I am curious to see what it can do. This setup is just one of the many solution, play however you like. The best build is the build you enjoy the most.
2. We can't have exact the same gear, so along the way, you need to make some adjustment. If there is any decision you need to make, keep in mind that, resource generation first, survivability second, damage last. And only consider boss fight, if you solve boss fight, all other things will work out, because density clearing is the strong side of blood surge.
3. Resource generation:
* Resource cost reduction affixes (starless skies ring)
* 2 essence per second affixes,
* Grim harvest when consuming corpses (that's one of the reason to materworking on X times to drain on gloves, more lucky hit!)
* You can roll one "lucky hit restore resource" if you have starless skies ring, because, starless skies ring will apply first before other resource cost reduction affixes, this makes the number of resource cost reduction cut to half If you don't have starless skies ring, resource cost reduction affix is the most reliable affix.
* If you still runs out of essence, use starlight aspect!
4. The lucky hit applies vulnerable affix on the ring is very important. Use "attack reduce evade cooldown" boot. At least one armor affix is needed.
5. You must hit 9230 armor and cap you resistance no matter what. Sacrificing one or two affix for that is ok.
6. Mythic unique priority: starless skies first, doombringer second, shako third (but shako is more useful in other builds)
7. This build is made for infernal hordes and pit speed farm. If you want to push high pit, use pit push variant, high pit requires more survivbility. (But seems like its not efficient to farm pit this season, you can get anything from infernal hordes)
8. If you don't have a good amulet base, use Banished Lord's Talisman, put sacrafice on the offhand, replace Aspect of Rathma's Chosen.
9. Attack speed breakpoints: [ Ссылка ]. Try to aim 96% without Rathma Chosen and 145% with Rathma chosen if you are using sword and focus.
10. Once you got all the gears, resource isn't an issue, you can experiment with "Aspect of the Great Feast" on the amulet (which I am using now). You WILL have resource issue on single target, so for the final 3 bosses in infernal hordes, always attack the one with highest health. This way, the time you are single-targeting is minimised. And you might want to consider put basic attack back to skill bar as a back up.
11. Some calculations, fyi. Lots of the number depends on your gear, I do the calculation based on mine. But it should give you an overall idea.
* Sacrificial gives you x1.357 damage on the offhand, x1.585 on the amulet.
* Great Feast gives you x1.45 on the offhand, x1.68 on the amulet.
* Rathma chosen on offhand gives you around x1.25 on DPS. You heal, overpower and luck hit more often. (don't use it on amulet, you will overcap the attack speed).
* Blood-bath while in-range gives x1.66 to normal monster, x1.26 to elites. In higher end, this is a solid choice, since you cannot kill things only by drains, need to be in-range anyways!
* Shako +4 to blood surge gives you around x1.17. Crown of Lucian gives x1.75 but you have to use starlight aspect; this combination on paper gives higher damage, but I didn't feel the damage increase in my testing.
* Masterworking gloves on time to drain gives x1.35 to elites; on tide of blood gives x1.19 to overpower damage; ranks to blood surge gives x1.21.
