This beautiful composition written by Grieg in 1880 to the poem of Aasmund Olavsson Vinje has in this arrangement been transformed into a sensual rhumba. The melody and parts of Griegs exquisite harmonics have been kept and there has been added a vulnerable, sensual latin beat, a warmer and more humid atmosphere to the backgrounds, but still the fresh and warm norwegian summerwinds drive the melody forward. The arrangement should be performed lightly and with an airy texture. Keep the rich and mystical sound and see the dynamics in a relative perspective so that it never gets loud.
