Wireless Works by Cambium Networks hosted an engaging virtual discussion with David Botha from Facebook and Antony Holmes from Cambium Networks where we're focusing on Terragraph MESH.
This clip is from a larger discussion surrounding Terragraph MESH. Watch the full hour here: [ Ссылка ]
Terragraph is one of several projects a part of Facebook Connectivity. The mission of this organization is to get people online to a faster internet. Terragraph began looking at the problem of access to high-speed broadband which is limited by poor last-mile connections. Terragraph is a technology that operates on 60 GHz unlicensed band delivering fiber-like speeds. In markets where fiber access to consumers is cost-prohibitive and slow to deploy due to factors such as permitting, trenching, etc., Terragraph can be a better alternative to provide fiber-like connectivity at a significantly lower cost. It’s also much faster to deploy and can be brought to market in a matter of weeks.
Cambium offers lots of different wireless technologies and ways to get broadband to the masses. For 10 years, Cambium Networks had been trying to find a GHz solution. It wasn’t until Terragraph came along based on 60 GHz that it was a solution that was finally a solution that would take them to the markets. It provides a fiber-like performance in gigabit wireless connectivity. It’s resilient, expandable, and adaptable.
