Can early career nurses develop leadership and professional skills and knowledge in virtual communities of practice, by using social media platforms?

Between November 2019 & March 2020, Health Education England and the Nightingale Challenge developed the Nightingale Challenge Nursing Network as a pilot to encourage early-career nurses from England, India and Uganda to come together as small moderated groups through a social media platform. Based on the Facemums1 concept, the aim was to share knowledge, learning & experience, to enhance confidence, leadership behaviours and capabilities.
