If you don't care about this topic,
I am so sorry. I hate making political videos, but this is a big part of my life that I didn't choose.
I will get back to regular programming starting tomorrow!
If you do care about this topic, this is the longer version:
I feel lucky and cursed to have grown up in Israel as a Palestinian for 20 years. There is only 2 million of us in the world and we're stuck between two worlds.
It really opens your eyes a lot when you live with your people next to what is supposed to be your enemy. It makes you question everything.
Lately, I've been getting pressure to speak in support of one group or another. And I've asked myself a million times if I can stand behind any single group in this conflict, especially given recent events, and the answer over and over again has been: no. I can't.
Don't get me wrong, the casualties and the deaths are tragic. Israel has gone too far with its force. But to pretend that one side is fully responsible for this is inaccurate. t
I can name a hundred things we as Palestinians (and Arabs like in Egypt and Jordan) did wrong in the past 70 years, and the same goes to Israel. Once you realize that every side is to blame, you really can't take sides.
And this is where I officialy stand.
Join me on Nas Daily Global for more conversations on this topic. But please, keep it respectful. It's really hard to moderate threads with thousands of comments!
P.S In twenty years I could be way off in my assessment and I will have to change my opinions. But given the information I have now and my personal experience thus far, it's what I feel most comfortable with.
