Iraqi Farmers in villages near the northern city of Dohuk said they feared for their security amid ongoing Turkish airstrikes and artillery bombing. Turkey has intensified cross-border airstrikes on suspected targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK in northern Iraq. The strikes in Iraq happened after the PKK took responsibility for a suicide attack on a government building in the Turkish capital Ankara. The attack happened hours before Turkey's Parliament reopened after its three-month summer recess with an address by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
