STORYLINE
Many Togo football fans gathered in a tent with a makeshift big screen in Lome on Tuesday, to watch their team take on South Korea in the football World Cup.
But victory belonged to the South Koreans as embattled Togo - which was without a coach until the last minute - lost the match 2-1.
Togo took the lead in the 31st minute, when Mohamed Kader scored with a shot from 14 metres (yards) after a pass from Alaixys Romao.
But South Korean Lee Chun-soo equalised in the 54th minute before Ahn Jung-hwan scored in the 72nd, giving South Korea the win.
The win gives South Korea three points in Group G, which also includes France and Switzerland.
Togo next plays Switzerland on Monday in Dortmund.
Although Togo lost, not all fans were dismayed.
"Despite the defeat it was good football, we are going to win against Switzerland in the next match," said Togo supporter, Richard Detor Hois.
