This review compares two of the best password managers around, #LastPass and #1Password. Now, the first thing you should know is that both companies are headquartered in countries that are members of the international surveillance alliance Five Eyes.

That means that, under certain circumstances, they could be forced to hand over customer data. Unfortunately, both companies keep a little more device than the bare minimum, but your passwords will remain secure in your encrypted vault.
Other similarities? Both password managers offer a dark web scan, two-factor authentication, and even multi-factor authentication. But while LastPass offers credit monitoring, 1Password throws in travel mode, a feature totally unique to them.
