This year is the 80th anniversary of the IMF, and the institution continues to evolve with a changing world. In this conversation, Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva will reflect on lessons learned from previous evolutions of the IMF, and look forward to new challenges and how the IMF can respond. The conversation will touch on the IMF’s role in responding to climate change, encouraging cooperation in a fragmenting global economy, and supporting low-income and fragile and conflict-affected states—including how to make sure these countries can leverage technological transformations in artificial intelligence (AI).
