In this clip from @TheExoticPetCollective podcast where I talk with Adam from @WickensWickedReptiles we discuss the rise of scammers ripping off people in tarantula, scorpion, isopod, jumping spider, snake, reptile, and amphibian groups. These con artists convince unsuspecting people desperate to get a specific species that may be expensive or hard to come by to send them money to purchase this animal they claim to have. They insist you send the money through a service that has no option to reverse or refund the exchange, then they never send you the animal (because they never actually had it to begin with) and then disappear by blocking you or just deleting the profile.
It sucks seeing good people get taken advantage of, so in this video we discuss the red flags to look out for and how to avoid becoming a victim!
