Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 200,600
Over 200,600 people have died of coronavirus across Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran as of Tuesday. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 56,360 around a third of the actual figure.

Prior to this no vaccine of this type has been used so broadly across the globe. This is highly advanced technology,” said a member of the regime’s vaccine scientific research committee on Tuesday. “We most definitely need to be using such technology because if this technology is successful it will accelerate vaccine production for all types of illnesses. These two vaccines produced there have been effective in scientific research, meaning providing over 90 percent safety,” this official added, according to state TV.
Iran: Three Protesters Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison
The Revolutionary Court of Dezful has sentenced three young men to a total of 40 years in prison for participating in protests over a rise in gasoline prices in November 2019. The three protesters Ra’d Hamdani, 23, Ghasi Khasraji, 19, and Sajjad Dabat, 20, were arrested in the November 2019 nationwide protests by intelligence agents in Shush county, southwestern Iran. Although the three are political prisoners, they are detained in one section with criminals, to increase pressure on them.
Almost a year after the November 2019 protests, many protesters are still detained with heavy prison terms. Two protesters were hanged while at least eight have been sentenced to death.
