Tiramisu Recipe
Makes 8 portions
6 eggs, separated
1 cup granulated sugar
500g Mascarpone
1 1/2 cups espresso coffee
2 TBS Khalua
25-30 lady fingers biscuits/cookies
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Dip the lady fingers into the coffee and arrange in a large casserole dish in one layer.
Bring the Mascarpone to room temperature. Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until light and cream and double in volume and then whisk in the Marscapone until soft and smooth.
Whip the egg whites until stiff and fold into the Mascarpone mix.
Spoon half of the mix over the lady fingers and repeat the step with the espresso soaked lady fingers.
Cover with the remaining Marscapone mix and dust heavily with the cocoa powder.
Refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight before serving.
