The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum which this year focuses on climatic emergencies and social inequalities.
The White House on Monday, January 20, said Trump would be in Davos for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday. Trump also met with the head of the European Union's executive body.
This Trump and Saleh meeting will be the first since the tension between the two countries heats up,
following the death of Iran's high-ranking military officer Major General Qasem Soleimani due to US drones around the Baghdad airport.
The attack launched on January 3 also killed one of the Iraqi military leaders, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Quoted from AFP, after the incident, Iraq called for the expulsion of thousands of US troops stationed there.
The Iraqi government also refused to give permission to the United States to continue military operations in their country.
Trump responded to the expulsion by threatening to impose sanctions to destroy the Iraqi economy.
Meanwhile, in the forum Trump will also meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
He will also have a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga, and Kurdish leader Nechirvan Barzani.
The meeting was held after France and the US agreed to extend negotiations to avoid a trans-Atlantic trade war.
