"We started this cooperative farm in an attempt to solve the situation of eighty families that were living irregularly in the area. A lot of them, even they had been living in Spain for over four years, didn't have the work offer required by law to obtain their residency. Even though we cannot solve everybody's problems with two acres of land, at least some of them have work and food to eat for the whole year."

"When people arrive here we consider them just like any other citizen, regardless of where they come from. They have their rights and their duties and we try to integrate them in our society in good conviviality. The problems we have experienced are minimal, because there are always good and bad people everywhere, Spanish or foreign. But most of the people came here because they didn't have good possibilities in their countries of origin and they found here a good job and a welcoming city."

"Lots of us have lost our hope. We don't think that things are going to change that much (in Romania). We have learned to accept the corruption going on in Romania hence we have become sceptic about the situation eventually improving. We have lost our hope and also our middle class. In Romania there are few rich people and lots of poor."
