Logline:
Midway Round is a drama about a middle aged guy who has just been dumped by his girlfriend. During a game of poker he realizes that all odds are against him and that his luck may lie elsewhere.

Midway Round is a short film with a big message. I treat the film and the script as a message delivery system; a conduit, if you will. The message is essentially this: 'Choose to be happy'. That can mean anything, from work, to play, or both. Even starting small, simple bold choices can make a big difference.
This short film aims to encourage the viewer subconsciously or otherwise to have the courage to make themselves fully accountable for their own success through hard work and the right choices.

Paul Stafford has been working professionally in the film industry professionally for the past 3 years. He been producing films for 18 months and knows how to bring in a good product on a budget, on time and with quality. This is his first foray into directing, but his work as professional writer and actor in the past serve him greatly. He is buoyed in other areas by a very talented and experienced crew, with whom he has great faith and with whom he has worked in the past on projects such as 'Perfect' and 'Saved', both of which have been shown at film festivals worldwide, and the upcoming 'A Cold Soul' and 'The Inside', both of which Paul produced and starred in.
Erebus Films has grown rapidly and will next be putting a feature film into production, once post-production on Midway Round has been completed. The business plan of Erebus Films puts the company on course for major feature film productions within the next 7 years. Now is a great time to begin investing in a highly promising company with the prospect of lucrative future returns.
