Dr Efrem Eren, Laboratory Director and Clinical Lead at University Hospital Southampton's Department of Immunology, talks through the connection between allergy and eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE).

His current research interests include identifying biomarkers of EoE disease activity, predicting triggers and complications such as fibrosis and non-invasive methods of monitoring disease activity.
