Two weeks after voting to not raise a Pride flag at City Hall, the Newcastle City Council flipped its decision, voting to raise the flag after all.

The council voted 4-3 in favor of raising the flag, which went up after Tuesday evening’s meeting. The new vote came after a rally that led to the meeting with extensive public comment.
