We all know very well that the world keeps changing. And, of course, teaching and English keep changing too. In this session, David Spencer is delighted to be able to introduce to all teachers many of the exciting new features in his latest series for teenagers, Gateway to the World, features designed precisely to help students and teachers adapt to many of the changes and developments going on around us. In particular he’ll be explaining how and why he believes we should be teaching.

After studying languages at Oxford University, David Spencer trained to be a Secondary School teacher. He then moved to Spain where he has been living and teaching ever since. He continues to teach teenage students every day in a school near Madrid. Apart from teaching and training teachers, Dave began writing Secondary courses for Macmillan in 1994. His latest series is Gateway To The World, a 7-level course designed to prepare teenage students for school-leaving exams and for life after school.
