Renowned historian, author and friend of the King, Jonathan Dimbleby joins us to talk about the forthcoming D-Day commemorations as well as his latest book Endgame, How Stalin Won The War with fascinating insights into Churchill’s reluctance and fears about D-Day and his uneasy alliance with Stalin and the less well-known story of the battle on the Eastern front where an army of two million Russian troops pushed west to destroy the Nazis in Operation Bagration. He also tells us how his friend King Charles would have been devastated to miss the D-Day commemorations this June.
