As you've probably seen by now, apps on Apple iPhones are now asking if you want to allow this app to track your activity…
Now before this updated officially rolled out initial studies found that 41% of people were happy to opt-in and allow the app to track their activity.
But fast forward to NOW, the data just got a lot worse.
Apparently, according to this article, now only 24% of people worldwide are allowing apps to track their activity and only it's 14% in the US.

So without a doubt its clear that Facebook IS being affected by changes that apple are making…
In fact, Facebook's CFO recently said that for the rest of 2021 sales could slow due to apple's new iOS app tracking rules …

And when Apple iOS 15 hits, they are also releasing NEW privacy features such as…
Apple Mail Privacy Protection - Which will limit your data on how many people open your emails and cause a big impact for any business that does email marketing
Hide my email - Which allows people to create a random email on iCloud when filling in opt-in forms online.
But Apple isn't stopping there…
As you can kinda see, it sounds like that is the start of something much bigger…
And there IS actually a much bigger threat to Facebook than just some new Apple iOS privacy changes.
Because here's the thing… Right now…
Even though things might change with the Facebook platform over the years, to run profitable ads on Facebook it just comes down to the same fundamental principles of good marketing. In other words, you just need to solve a big painful problem for your potential clients and communicate HOW you solve this problem in a way that gets people excited to learn more.
This is kinda like the foundation of all effective types of marketing.
So even with the new Apple privacy changes, it's still possible to run profitable ads…
In fact, the only significant change I've noticed with Facebook Ads since Apple's new iOS update is when it comes to tracking conversions. If you rely on Facebook ONLY to track conversions, the data will probably not be very accurate. However, if you use 3rd party software to track conversions - such as Kartra - which is what I use, then it's not too much of a big deal.
But like I said earlier, there's actually a bigger threat to Facebook Ads then Apple's privacy changes…. And that threat is Apple itself.
It's no secret that Apple have been introducing more and more SOCIAL MEDIA related features on their iPhones.
And with iOS 15 new features include social updates to iMessage and FaceTime allows you to interact with friends.
Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerburg even said that Apple is a major competitor because of Apple's pre installed FaceTime and iMessage which compete with Facebook's Whatsapp and Messenger.
And that's why I believe Apple will be launching their own privacy focused social media channel soon to directly compete with Facebook. And I recommend you watch this video to learn why Apple could be launching their own social media network very soon.
