The Fiordo di Furore is one of the best-known destinations on the Amalfi Coast. The famous archway bridge is instantly recognizable and after becoming insta-famous has a steady stream of tourists flocking there every day.
But remember, you can't smell an image.
In the summer months, the high number of visitors, the narrow waterway, and the sun hitting the Western side of the beach every morning conspire to create an unfortunate smell that resembles a toilet.
We couldn't believe that people would still swim there!! It is much nicer at the opposite end of the beach... Or maybe the sun just hadn't cooked it yet. But it was fine to swim in my opinion.
