this video showing how the lift pins moves with hydraulic pressure. This up down movement of lift pin force suction plate valve open and close while compressor running.
If lift pin are up, than there will be a gap between cylinder sleeve and suction plate valve causing refrigerant bypass to suction chamber while piston moves towards top dead center.
Similarly when lift pins are down, there will be no gap between cylinder sleeve and suction plate valve causing sealing while piston moves towards top dead center and creating pressure inside piston chamber.
While in loading condition suction plate valves opens and close because of pressure difference between suction chamber and piston chamber.
