Indonesian President Joko Widodo has said that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit in Bali. However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry is yet to confirm if Xi Jinping will travel to Bali for the November 15-16 summit. If Xi decides to attend, it will be his first foreign visit since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Earlier, Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, had said Putin is yet to decide whether to attend the meeting in person or by video link. However, Widodo’s statement comes after the Indonesian President spoke to his Russian counterpart in a phone call on August 18.
