Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere in the body. This yoga for endometriosis and pelvic pain class was originally created for a client of mine who had recently found out she had endometriosis when she started trying to conceive.
When she first came to see me she was very protective of her belly and pelvis and held a lot of tension here. It's not uncommon to brace into the area where you experience pain in the body.
This class aims to show you how to soften and relax into the belly and pelvis to help relieve some of the pain and cramping.
