Yep. I’m feeling lost in my 20s. I’m 22 years old and I don’t know what to do with my life. Sounds very dramatic but I’ve only started to deep it ever since I’ve graduated from university. If you feel lost in your 20s, or if you are feeling confused in your 20s… mate, same here. However, I don’t necessarily feel behind in life, it’s just not knowing the next steps in life. It ain’t like school (in the UK) where you go from Year 7 to Year 8 etc… Now it’s just… life. So many questions are rushing in my mind like:

1. What should I do with my life?
2. How to find yourself? (Who am I without the filters?)
3. How to find purpose? (life purpose) How to find your passion? What is success? (to me)
4. How to live a happy life?
5. How to make the right decision?

Yeah it’s a mess and the list of question go on and on from there… which is why I recently decided to start journaling to jot down all my thoughts rather than having them trapped in my own mind (would recommend). It’s been VERY therapeutic.

What I started to realise is that feeling lost in life is ACTUALLY normal in your 20s… I think social media has corrupted our image/definitions of success, and that we become a different person to who we actually are. So far, what I learned in my 20s (granted, I’m only 22) is that I HAVE to stay positive and allow myself to think that I have an important role to play in this world(in the future). Credit to Jordan Peterson for giving me that hope. Being stuck in life now doesn’t mean you’ll be stuck in life forever. It’s important that we continue to take action, learn self-awareness, and to acknowledge that we all have unique stories to tell.

If you’re feeling the same way I’m feeling, I want to encourage you to look into self-development, personal growth, self-help and that type of thing during your spare time. I think once we get to know ourselves, our long-term vision becomes more clearer, and we can start to make better life decisions and not live a life of regret.

But yeah. What to do with my life… who knows. For people feeling lost in life, or even behind in life… know that… IT’S OKAY. Say that to yourself and you’ll feel that instant peace within yourself. Also, start researching on google “how to find your life purpose” or go on YouTube then search “how to find your passion” or even talk to family or close friends and ask them about their life purpose/dream career/path in life. So many interesting conversations can happen, and you might learn a thing or two.

I hope you find this unscripted (well… I’ve only made some outlines to try and keep the video as short as possible) video relatable. I hope you actually know that you’re not the only one who is lost and confused in life. This isn’t a motivational video but, just know that I’m on the same boat as you.
