After a seven-year journey through the Solar System Huygens probe separated from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft and entered Titan’s atmosphere 20 days later.
The images taken after the Huygens probe had landed on Titan's surface show a dark riverbed strewn with brighter round rocks. These “stones,” which are 15 cm in diameter at most, could possibly be hydrocarbon-coated water ice pebbles.
