How to use quotation marks in strings in JavaScript? What is the purpose of escape character or backslash?
It allows you to include quotation marks in strings.
You need to type backslash, then the quotation mark.
Thus, the backslash will be ignored, but the following character will be displayed.
You can use it for single quotation (') marks, double quotation (") marks and for backticks (`).
Also, backslash allows to insert new line with the letter n, or a tab with a letter t.
