Model B Ford powered 1929 Ford Model A Roadster. Era speed equipment Miller OHV Conversion. Diamond B block sleeved to standard, pressure oiled with a modified early V8 oil pump. Inserted rods and mains with drilled crank for rod oiling. Weld on crankshaft counter weights. Zepher 2x2 intake. Stromberg 81 carburetors. Mallory
single point dizzy with centrifugal advance. This build was done in the late '70s by Windell Anderson who was a well known flat tracker in California. It was a tribute car to mimic to a car he had that in 1938 had gone 99.8 mph on the salt flats.
I have changed some things to suit me such as the front end to hair pins from four-bar suspension for a more traditional look. Changing the transmission to a TK5 used in the '84 to '87 model years Ford Bronco, Ranger and Aerostar. This gives the car an overdrive for highway driving... Removal of the swing pedals to Model A pedals and removal of the brake master cylinder from the firewall and loosing the clutch cable that routed through the firewall....for a more traditional look....
