This project is simply me, an agnostic, reading the Bible for the first time in approximately 27 years. I will record my thoughts of each verse, unscripted. I am an ex-Christian. Why? Perhaps one too many failed prayers and empty answers. It has taken many years for me to deconstruct after having been raised to accept a religion without proof or questioning, a religion which seems to conflict with my own ideals of humanity. The weaponization of Christianity, especially in the Deep South, has made this more important to me than ever.

The version of the Bible is NIV 1984.

I do hope this provides some level of comfort for those with doubts and uncertainties about one’s own feelings about religion. You are entitled to your own feelings and doubts.

I hope this provides some levity as well.
