How high can you fly?
Since Second Life is a 3-D world, you may be curious as to what lies in the outer-reaches of space. Without special assistance, you can only get about 200m above the ground before you start to fall. The stable hover height is 50 meters above ground (terrain mesh). Thanks to residents for scripting ways around this! Gadgets known as "flight assist scripts" help you beat the limit. They are common, found at freebie shops and shared by volunteer helpers. For example you can get "Flight Feather". There are many things in space that you can explore. There is no limit as to how far you can go, however your avatar will deform at extremely high limits. The normal build height is 768m in the air.
