Despite virtual and distance learning, an extra burden is being placed on the shoulders of parents to keep their kids on track.

Optimize Lessons for Your Kid
Parents should teach to their kid’s strengths.
Know what time of the day they are the most attentive and awake and schedule stem subjects like math and science at those times.
Structure Is Key
Keeping a structured schedule is crucial.
After you find a schedule that optimizes your child’s learning, keep at it!
Create a Learning-Focused Space
You should have a place in the home that’s designated for learning. That place should be free of distractions including TVs, tablets and phones.
Find Ways To Get Kids Interested
You should find fun ways to teach.
Jamie Heston, a homeschooling consultant, told Fox News that you should find creative ways to teach.
For example, use games like monopoly to teach math or bake with your kid to teach fractions.
Rely on Trustworthy Apps
I know, I know. I said avoid screen time. BUT there are some wonderful apps for learning.
For example, Khan Academy, NASA and Scholastic.
Schedule Time for Yourself
Doubling up as a parent and teacher doesn’t mean you have to stop being productive yourself.
Schedule assignments so you can get work done yourself.
Evenings after kids go to bed is also a great time to catch up on work.
