The Murray crayfish, Euastacus armatus is considered the second largest freshwater crayfish in the world after the Tasmanian giant freshwater crayfish.
This specimen in this video is being released by my wife and kids because it is undersize.
While this Murray Crayfish is quite large to a lit of people, it is actually undersize by law and required to be released.
This video has filmed back in June, not long after the crayfishing season opened.
I love catching crayfish and this season just gone I caught my biggest ever male Murray crayfish.
Murray crayfish predominately feed on decaying plant matter however they will also eat meat. When crayfishing meat us the preferred bait.
The thing that I love most about this shirt video is the sound if my kids laughing and having fun. As a parent that is the best music in the world.
