Some games can change your whole life - and when Kingdom Hearts came out in 2002, it did exactly that for me and many people. I had been gaming for a few years, but this was the first time I was actually lost in a game world, wanting to squeeze every bit of playtime out of it just so it wouldn't have to end.

Today, over 20 years later, you guys have voted for it and I have the honor of reviewing this legendary combination of Square Enix and Disney magic - but is it actually still enjoyable? Sure, the game has received multiple remasters, but it's nevertheless an over 20 years old 3D Action RPG - these don't tend to age very well! Let's (try to) put off any feelings of nostalgia and see this game for what it really is, when we ask the question: Is Kingdom Hearts WORTH Putting On Your Backlog?

Everybody has it: A gaming backlog. The pile of shame - A gigantic list of games, bought but never touched, that is constantly nagging at your conscience. For some, this is a steam account full of games you got on several sales because you'll 'get to it eventually' - for others, it's a literal pile of physical media lying around in their house. For me, it was both.

The bigger this backlog got, the more I started to think if I even needed to buy new games, or older titles that were on a great sale, since I knew I wouldn't play most of them any time soon. But hype is contagious, so I continued to buy - wanting to play all those games at some point.

Well, I still do, and by playing through the world's biggest backlog, I'll help YOU to decide on which games are actually worth putting on YOURS. Because not all games are made equal, and sometimes you just need someone else to suffer through them to save you the pain - and maybe give you enjoyment in their suffering.
