How to use your Cellphone as a remote control for ANDROID TV(BOX) or any other Smart device that connects to Wi-Fi.

All smart devices connect to Wi-Fi, so you don't need an IR Blaster in your phone when pairing your phone as a remote with Smart devices, just make sure your TV (Box) and phone are connected to the SAME Wi-Fi connection.

You need an IR Blaster in your phone for NON-SMART DEVICES only because non-smart devices can connect through infrared (IR Blaster) only and not through Wi-Fi.

Most recent phones released after 2016 do not have a built-in IR Blaster, but you can always use these phones as a remote for any smart device that connects to Wi-Fi, both your phone and a smart device need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. It doesn't work with a cabled connection.

N.B: Apple devices never come with IR Blaster. iPhones can only be used as a remote for Smart devices through a Wi-Fi connection.
