Video gaming in South Africa is a multimillion-dollar industry. But most games are imported from the U.S. and Japan. South Africa's own gaming development sector has been slow to take off - partially due to little interest from investors. Many developers design games as a hobby, funding their work out of their own pockets.This year, for the first time, the country's largest technology and gaming expo showcased games developed by home-grown master geeks.
